The National Universities Commission has granted full accreditation to 20 academic programmes at Adekunle Ajasin University, marking a significant achievement for the institution. This milestone reflects the university’s commitment to maintaining high educational standards and enhancing its academic reputation.
This accreditation process followed a thorough assessment by the NUC, which took place between October and December 2025. The results of this evaluation were eagerly anticipated by the university community, as they directly impact the quality and recognition of its academic offerings.
Currently, the accredited programmes span six faculties at Adekunle Ajasin University:
- The Faculty of Administration and Management boasts three accredited programmes: Accounting, Banking and Finance, and Public Administration.
- In the Faculty of Arts, three programmes received accreditation: Linguistics and Yoruba, Philosophy, and Yoruba Language.
- The Faculty of Education stands out with nine accredited programmes, including Adult Education and Educational Management.
- The Faculty of Law has one accredited programme: Law.
- The Faculty of Science features two accredited programmes: Biochemistry and Geology.
- Finally, the Faculty of Social Sciences includes two accredited programmes: Geography and Planning Sciences, and Psychology.
