El-Kanemi Warriors struck first, scoring in the 2nd minute of the match. However, Wikki Tourists responded with determination, equalizing just before halftime when Klinkshak Longback found the net in first-half stoppage time.
The second half saw Wikki Tourists take the lead with a goal from Imamu Bala in the 52nd minute, sealing the win for the home side. Ogenyi praised his players for their resilience, stating, “I take my hat off to the players for their resilience,” and added, “It’s not easy to come from behind to win a game, especially after conceding so early.”

In other league action, Beyond Limits Football Academy triumphed over Gateway FC with a score of 2-1 in the Nigeria National League. Celestine Peter opened the scoring for Beyond Limits in the 13th minute, but Gateway FC equalized through Abiodun Ayeni in the 38th minute. Beyond Limits regained the lead in the 55th minute, solidifying their position in the promotion race.
Currently, Rivers United leads the NPFL standings with 49 points from 26 matches, followed closely by Rangers International at 47 points. Remo Stars and Inter Lagos are also in the mix, with 30 and 24 points, respectively.
