ValueJet is set to commence direct flight operations between Lagos and Accra on March 30, 2026, marking a significant milestone in regional air travel. The inaugural flight will depart from the new terminal at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in the morning, with return flights from Accra also scheduled for the morning.

Passengers eager to book their tickets can do so via the airline’s official website. This new route is described as a key component of ValueJet’s vision to improve connectivity along the West African corridor, which is crucial for fostering tourism, trade, and cultural exchange.

Omololu Majekodunmi, a spokesperson for ValueJet, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming service, stating, “We are thrilled to commence our regional service with the inaugural flight between Lagos and Accra slated for March 30, 2026.” He further emphasized that this represents a significant step as the airline expands its network beyond Nigeria and across the African continent.

ValueJet recently launched its first international service to Banjul, The Gambia, and is targeting additional regional destinations including Cotonou and Malabo. The airline has added CRJ-1000 aircraft to its fleet to support these growing operations.

The new service is expected to strengthen economic and cultural ties between Nigeria and Ghana, with ValueJet aiming to enhance connectivity between the two nations. Majekodunmi noted, “With this new route, we aim to enhance connectivity between Nigeria and Ghana, fostering tourism, trade, and tighter economic and cultural ties.”

To attract passengers, ValueJet has assured competitive fares, promotional offers, and special travel packages. The initiative has garnered support from Ghana Airports Company Limited, which is optimistic about the potential benefits of this new route.

As the launch date approaches, observers are keen to see how this new service will impact travel dynamics in the region. Details remain unconfirmed regarding specific promotional offers and additional services that may accompany the inaugural flights.
