ValueJet is set to commence direct flight operations between Lagos and Accra on March 30, 2026, marking a significant milestone in regional air travel.
The inaugural flight will depart from the new terminal at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in the morning, with return flights from Accra also scheduled for the morning. Passengers can book tickets via the airline’s official website.
Omololu Majekodunmi, a representative of ValueJet, expressed excitement about the new route, stating, “We are thrilled to commence our regional service with the inaugural flight between Lagos and Accra slated for March 30, 2026.” He further noted, “This represents a significant step as we expand our network beyond Nigeria and across the African continent.”
The Accra route is described as a key component of ValueJet’s vision to improve connectivity along the West African corridor. The airline aims to enhance connectivity between Nigeria and Ghana, fostering tourism, trade, and tighter economic and cultural ties.
Recently, ValueJet launched its first international service to Banjul, The Gambia, and is targeting additional regional destinations, including Cotonou and Malabo. This expansion reflects the airline’s commitment to growing operations in the region.
ValueJet has added CRJ-1000 aircraft to its fleet to support these growing operations, ensuring that it can meet the increasing demand for air travel in West Africa.
